stackpetal Nothing uploads. Ever.

Terms

Last updated 27 August 2026

stackpetal is a free set of browser-based tools for working with PDF files. By using the site you agree to what follows.

What the service is

stackpetal provides tools that merge, split, rotate and watermark PDF files, and build PDFs from images. All processing happens in your browser on your own device. No account is required and no files are uploaded.

Your responsibilities

You may use stackpetal for any lawful purpose. You are responsible for the files you process and for having the right to process them. Do not use the site to infringe copyright, breach confidentiality obligations, or produce misleading altered documents.

Because processing happens on your device, we have no ability to monitor, review or moderate what you do here. That freedom carries the responsibility that comes with it.

Keep your own backups

Always keep the original of any file you work with. The tools create new files rather than altering your originals, but browsers can run out of memory, tabs can close, and downloads can fail. We cannot recover anything for you, because we never had it.

No warranty

The service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that output will suit any particular purpose. Some PDFs, particularly encrypted, damaged or unusually structured ones, may not process correctly.

Do not rely on this service alone for documents where an error would be costly. Check the output before you use it.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of stackpetal, including lost or corrupted files, lost profits, or business interruption. Since the service is free and processes nothing on our systems, any liability that cannot be excluded is limited to the amount you paid us, which is nothing.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice. Tools may be added or removed as the site develops.

Intellectual property

The stackpetal name, design and site code belong to us. The open source libraries the site uses remain the property of their authors under their own licences. You keep every right you have in the files you process, and we claim nothing over them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
